Care for one another

• Ask before sharing another person’s prayer request, health information, photo, or private story.
• Use prayer points to support people — never to shame, diagnose, pressure, or publicly expose them.
• Treat prayer requests as sensitive spiritual content even when someone shares them voluntarily, and do not copy a request outside its original audience without permission, except when immediate safety or law requires escalation.

Leadership has limits

• Group creators organize prayer; they do not gain authority over members’ relationships, finances, healthcare, or personal decisions.
• Never use a prayer request, prophecy, or spiritual authority to pressure money, intimacy, secrecy, fasting, medical choices, or contact with an unsafe person.
• Prayer groups may include an optional fasting plan, but no member should be pressured to fast, disclose health conditions, or ignore medical advice. Children, pregnant people, and anyone with a health condition should seek appropriate professional guidance before fasting.

Messages and privacy

Only accepted friends can start one-to-one conversations. Do not move a conversation off-platform to evade a block or moderation. Private messages are not end-to-end encrypted, so avoid highly sensitive information. Public invitation pages and lock-screen notifications intentionally omit private prayer details.

Reporting and blocking

Use Report for harassment, scams, credible threats, self-harm concerns, exploitation, hate, sexual misconduct, dangerous spiritual coercion, or other violations — choosing the closest concern helps urgent reports get priority. Use Block to stop contact. Knowingly false or retaliatory reports may also violate these guidelines.

Reports involving credible threats or self-harm concerns are prioritized for urgent human assessment. Exploitation, sexual misconduct, hate, dangerous coercion, and harassment receive elevated review. Spam and other conduct are reviewed under the standard safety queue.

How moderation works

Moderators may remove content, restrict accounts, preserve evidence, or escalate a case when reasonably necessary. Huios preserves report evidence and moderator decisions for a defined safety period; account deletion may anonymize the reporter while retaining the safety record when reasonably necessary for abuse prevention, legal obligations, or disputes. Huios does not guarantee a particular outcome.

Emergencies

Huios is not an emergency service. If you believe someone faces immediate danger, contact local emergency services or an appropriate crisis resource instead of relying only on a prayer group or private message.
